Wanted Calls On with One Direction for An All-Out Brawl To Settle The Score; Will 1D Bite The Dare?
The battle of the boy bands is veering away from the concert stage and social media as members of Wanted dare the guys of One Direction to a possible square fight on the boxing ring this time.
Speaking in a recent interview, Wanted's Max George and Jay McGuinness challenged their arch rivals One Direction to an all-out brawl to settle the score.
The two boy bands have been embroiled in a bitter rivalry and heated exchange of barbs for a while now. One of their most recent feuds even involved Wanted members taking potshots at Louis Tomlinson's sexuality.
"We would like a boxing match - them against us," Max said in his interview with the Daily News.
"It would be brilliant for TV and I don't have a problem with it at all."
The boys of Wanted said that they want the fight to be an occasion to let off some steam and at the same time raise funds for charity.
"Why don't we actually do something financially - like make some money for a charity and blow off some steam in a boxing ring," said the tough Wanted members.
They said they're aware of One Direction's 12 million Twitter followers but quickly dismissed them as "army of kids."
The conflict between the two boy bands has been well chronicled since the beginning. One of their most talked about Twitter fights involved 1D's Louis who engaged in a heated word war with Wanted's Tom Parker. The feud became so big that other members Zayn MaliK and Jay joined in the fray.
This is not the first time, however, that Max has provoked their arch enemies into violence. Earlier, he had told reporters that he wouldn't mind getting arrested just to fight the guys of 1D.
With all the scathing words traded as well as provocation for physical violence, is there still a chance that these two boy bands will ever become friends? Jay categorically said it is far from happening.
"It's going to be really hard to ever have a real friendship and we don't see them enough for that - we're not going to lose any sleep over it."
The boys of 1D, meanwhile, have chosen to keep quiet and ignore Wanted's latest provocation for now. Will they soon bite the dare?
