Caretakers who are also avid royal watchers, watch out. This could be your chance to closely mingle with Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as their firstborn Prince George. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been reportedly scouting for a new nanny when they visit Australia and New Zealand.

According to Daily Mail, Jessie Webb, the royal couple's current nanny, has reached the end of her contract. Ms Webb, who has since retired, went to take the responsibility, becoming Prince George's first nanny, provided that she stays with the royal trio for only three months.

Prince George was born July 2013. But royal observers said it is highly likely that the royal couple will retain the services of 71-year old Mrs Webb, if they haven't done it yet.

Mrs Webb reportedly still lives at Kensington Palace.

For their Australia and New Zealand three-month tour however, they would need additional help, preferably someone younger.

"It took a lot of persuading to get Jessie to take the job in the first place, but she loves William and wanted to help out," an unidentified source told Daily Mail.

"I can't imagine that she will want to be travelling around the world at her age. If she does, she will need an assistant."

Mrs Webb was employed when the royal trio moved to Kensington Palace in Sept 2013.

Janine Bayley of nanny recruitment agency rockmybaby.co.nz said that aside from being trained in the obvious paediatric first aid, s/he would need to be discreet and moreover, demonstrate an ability to cope in stressful situations.

"We have placed nannies and babysitters for some high profile families including Hollywood actors while visiting in New Zealand," the NZHerald quoted Mrs Bayley as saying. "We find their expectations just the same as other families, although we do encourage the nannies not to become star struck.

"At the end of the day, parents want someone who is responsive to their child's needs, able to provide a quality, educational environment and someone who knows how to have fun. Regardless of where we are in society, we just want the very best for our children."
