Some of the most famous Hollywood men, like Robert Pattinson, were considered for the role of Christian Grey and ultimately it was Charlie Humman who bagged the role in the cinema version of "Fifty Shades of Grey."

According to Bret Easton Ellis, Charlie Humman was not the first choice to play the mysterious billionaire in the much-awaited adaptation of the best seller by E. L. James.

Author and screenwriter Ellis revealed everything via Twitter. "Talked to E.L. James at a party over the summer: her first choice for Christian was Rob Pattinson," tweeted Ellis on Monday. "E.L. James and I were at Rob Pattinson's house when she admitted that Rob was first choice for Christian," he further said.

He also tweeted, "When E.L. James asked me who I thought should be Christian I said 'James Deen, of course,' and then she shoved me. We were both very wasted."

The screenwriter also revealed that Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer were never in the running for the role.

The "Twilight" star, Pattinson threw a party at his Loz Feliz home in June and Ellis and James both attended the party. Apparently, Pattinson shared that he was scheduled to be involved in the highly anticipated adaption when he was seen talking to the author for most of the evening, as reported by E! Online.

Apart from Bomer and Somerhalder, Ryan Gosling and Alex Pettyfer were on the list of contenders who could have played the role of Grey.

On Monday, E. L. James cleared the air and announced that Dakota Johnson will be playing Anastasia Steele and "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Humman will be paired opposite her as Christian Grey.

I am sure Pattinson fans are a bit dissapointed!
