Watch The ‘Campfire Christmas’ Trailer
Hallmark Channel is keeping things festive with the newest premiere in its Christmas in July lineup, “Campfire Christmas.” The film, which debuts July 16, stars Tori Anderson and Corbin Bleu.
The holiday film will be a treat for fans as they likely recognize the film’s stars, who are both fresher faces for the network but not entirely strangers. Anderson previously starred in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film “Return to Christmas Creek” and the Hallmark Channel title “Love Under the Olive Tree.” She is also known for her roles as Kate Whistler on “NCIS: Hawaii” and Blake Crawford on “Blindspot.” As for Bleu, he previously starred in “Love, For Real” on Hallmark, but is likely still best known for his role as Chad Danforth in the “High School Musical” movies.
The film also stars Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (“Falling Inn Love”), Caitlin Stryker (“Sealed With a Kiss: Wedding March 6”), Matt Hamilton (“A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado”) and Alec Santos (“Firefly Lane”).
So what can fans expect from the film? Let’s find out.
“Peyton’s (Anderson) parents decide it’s time for them to retire and they will be selling the summer camp they run where so many memories have been made. But first, they host one final Christmas in July celebration that was a beloved camp tradition, for all their alumni and their families,” a synopsis reads. “Peyton is thrilled to reunite with friends Beckett (Bowyer-Chapman), now a Broadway star; now-married camp sweethearts Janice (Stryker) and Dave (Hamilton) and Chris (Santos). But she’s much less excited to see Thomas (Bleu), her former boyfriend who broke her heart when he ended their romance after high school.”
However, as the group is reunited for their final summer of holiday fun, things begin to change—and sparks begin to fly—as they all not only reconnect, but find themselves helping one another as they face their futures.
“As the friends spend time together during traditional outdoor camp activities, crafts and Christmas pageant rehearsals, they reconnect and reminisce,” the synopsis continues. “Peyton, Thomas, Beckett, Janice, Dave and Chris help each other take stock of where they are in their lives and gain insight into what oaths they want to take next as they start on their own happily-ever-afters.”
“Campfire Christmas” airs Saturday, July 16 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
