UFC superstar Conor McGregor has been known to explore other sports, boxing being one of them.

However, it appears the 33-year-old may want to stick to fight sports and lay his hands off team sports such as baseball.

“The Notorious” threw the ceremonial first pitch when the Chicago Cubs hosted the Minnesota Twins in an MLB game on Tuesday, September 21.

While he is no stranger to heated exchanges, throwing one on the baseball field is not his cup of tea. The video below is proof of that.

Clad in a classy and well-tailored suit, it appeared Conor McGregor would be throwing something impressive.

The only problem is that instead of seeing the ball land in the hands of Patrick Wilson, the baseball went horribly out of control and landing just a few inches short of a pair of fans in the front row, USA Today reported.

It would be best to note that baseball is not the first sport where McGregor tried to get into.

In 2018, he tried to throw a football before a Dallas Cowboys game. Somehow similar to what happened in that MLB ceremonial pitch, it was nowhere near close to a good throw.

McGregor remains out of action as he continues to nurse his injured leg, which he sustained in the dying seconds of the first round against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 this past July.

Although he has shown progress in his recovery, there is no telling when the former UFC champion will be back.

He has kept himself relevant through appearance and proverbial jabs on social media. The latest one was that alleged skirmish he had with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
