‘Watch Dogs 2’ to be revealed on June 8 ahead of E3 2016 despite official unveiling at the event
In the tradition of reveals in the gaming industry, Ubisoft has teased a new image for an upcoming announcement.
Roughly a week before E3 2016, fans can expect “Watch Dogs 2” to be revealed pre-event. Over at UbiBlog, the developer showed a screenshots of the iconic smartphone, which has been fully used in the game’s predecessor.
“Join us for the ‘Watch Dogs 2’ reveal this Wednesday, June 8 at 9AM PDT, 12 PM EST at the official ‘Watch Dogs 2’ site,” said the developer. There will be more information given, albeit post-announcement on the finer details of the reveal.
There’s already an accompanying video, just a little over half a minute, titled “Hello World.” It’s basically a snapshot of the supposed main character doing some hacking using his smartphone.
There are no gameplay sneak peeks in this teaser, but that’s to be expected since it’s just a day before the actual sneak peek. What is surprising is how Ubisoft is pre-empting the reveal of “Watch Dogs 2” ahead of E3 2016
It has already been confirmed earlier that “Watch Dogs 2” will be present at the event. In a press release, Ubisoft confirmed that Aisha Tyler will be hosting the press conference for Ubisoft at the event, happening on June 12 at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET.
The conference itself will include “Watch Dogs 2,” which is just one of the titles coming from the publisher at the event. Creative teams of the likes of “Watch Dogs 2,” “For Honor” and “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands” will be taking the stage to detail the content of the games.
“Watch Dogs 2” will not, however, be part of the Ubisoft Booth. These are reserved for “For Honor,” “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands,” “South Park: The Fractured But Whole” and “eagle Flight.”
Ubisoft is not the only developer that is announcing something big ahead of the E3 2016 event. Bungie has recently revealed that it will hold a “Destiny” Reveal Stream this, which will talk about the game’s next adventure. Speculations are already running high that it will be about the trademarked “Rise of Iron.”
