The US Open Championships resumes Grand Slam action after seeing some of its matches postponed due to heavy rains. Men's tennis 'Big Four' of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Roger Federer are still intact while women's contenders Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka have kept things under control.

Meanwhile, tournament dark horses such as Juan Martin Del Potro, David Ferrer and Tomas Berdych are expected to cruise through the early stages, barring a huge upset. On the women's side, up-and-coming netter like Sloane Stephens and Victoria Duval are showing they are future of American tennis.

Then again, shocking upsets can happen in a blink of an eye and everyone is vulnerable to it. The US Open Championships are just starting to heat up as things expected to be a lot crazier in Flushing Meadows in the coming days.
