Shortly after the Miley Cyrus's raunchy performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, celebrities and people swarmed Twitter with their comments and reactions. Watch th video Below:

Although she definitely has her supporters, there are lots of people were shocked by her behaviour including Thicke's mother, the Parents Television Council, Will Smith, Kelly Clarkson and even liberal-minded celebrities.

Gloria Loring, after watching the performance, she regrets ever seeing the VMA footage and said,"I was not expecting her to be putting her butt that close to my son," "It's not that I saw it once, it's that I can never un-see it."

The Parents Television Council issued a statement blaming MTV for "marketing sexually charged messages to young children using former child stars."

PTC Director of Public Policy Dan Isett said,

"MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colour bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?"

Relating particularly to Cyrus's raunchy performance, (grabbing her crotch, sticking out her tongue, bending over in front of Robin Thicke, and acting improperly with a foam finger) as she pranced around in a nude bikini she simulated sex at every step of performance.

An Advisory Board Member for PTC Paul Porter, said,

"The Miley Cyrus/Robin Thicke performance simply substituted talent with sex. ... Heads should roll at MTV."

Despite the Twitter on fire and harsh criticism she's receiving for her raunchy performance, at the VMAs, Miley Cyrus has accomplished her mission. People were talking about her performance even before she has finished her rendition of "We Can't Stop." That's what every performer truly wants, at the end of the day.
