Everton FC will see action against West Ham United FC on Saturday in the English Premier League.
The Blues have yet to taste defeat this season, having drawn three and clinching a 1-0 thriller against Chelsea in their recent match.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez remains cautious ahead of their clash against West Ham, as he knows that the Hammers' direct approach has been effective, early on in the season.
The Hammers have been capitalizing on corners and free-kicks and are equally capable on the defensive end.
"It's important we understand that West Ham have got a really strong unit and continuity in their playing staff," Martinez told evertonfc.com.
"They have followed on that winning feeling they had from getting promoted from the Championship and last season they were really strong, finishing 10th in the league."
"It was a terrific year [for them] and we are well aware of the quality and goalscoring ability they have in dead ball situations.
"They are also really strong defensively. You can not underestimate them because they are very well organised and solid, and they have huge intensity in their defensive duties. They are a difficult team to score against.
Key midfielder Steven Pienaar (muscle injury) might not be able to suit up, the same is the case with reserves Darron Gibson (knee) and Arouna Kone (knee).
On the other hand, there will be no let up for Sam Allardyce's West Ham despite failing to score in their last three games.
The Hammers are definitely missing the services of imposing striker Andy Carroll, who is a perfect fit for Allardyce's system.
"Yes there's no doubt about it, we've been creating chances but our quality of finishing has not been good enough. Opportunities have arisen for us and although we took them very well against Cardiff we've been unable to take them in the other games and we've ended up drawing two and losing one because of that," Allardyce told whufc.com.
While scoring goals may be a cause of concern for Big Sam's boys, he is satisfied with how his team has been defending.
"On the defensive side we've been very good, conceding only one goal in four Barclays Premier League games provides a great platform to build on. When you're in possession and you get to the creative side of your game you've got to take the opportunity when it arises to score a goal and then that gives you the chance to secure three points. When you score it obviously relieves the pressure from the defence and at the moment that's a concern, but hopefully it won't be the case against Everton on Saturday."
Stewart Downing (leg), Joe Cole (hamstring), Alou Diarra (knee), and Andy Carroll (foot) will not be seeing action on Saturday.
