Liverpool FC will be looking to keep their superb run going, as they face Southhampton FC on matchday 5 in the English Premier League.

The Reds are currently on top of the table, acquiring 10 points in their first four games.

A major cause of concern for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is the health of his squad, with Philippe Coutinho (shoulder) requiring to undergo surgery.

Aly Cissokho, Sebastian Coates and Glen Johnson will be missed on Saturday, while Daniel Agger and Joe Allen's presence remain doubtful.

Nevertheless, Rodgers knows that his players are versatile enough to be able to adjust to such loses.

"We have players that are flexible. That's my idea at the top end of the field. We've got players that aren't just nailed down to one position. They have the flexibility to play really well in a couple of positions. So I have that in the squad; players that are capable of playing in those roles," Rodgers told liverpoolfc.com.

"Each individual player brings his own quality to the position. But because of the types of players we bring in, there will be a lot of them who are going to be technically gifted and who have that strength and quality to play."

Sensational striker Luis Suarez will soon be back, after serving his suspension for the biting incident, which thrills Rodgers.

"We get Luis Suarez back next week, which is a world-class signing coming back into the picture. The attitude and how we've been in the opening games has been excellent," he added.

Meanwhile, Southhampton is having a respectable start, winning their first match and having drawn two out of their previous three matches.

Despite scoring only two goals in four games, Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino is not worried about the drought, but rather on improving the team holistically.

"I'm not worried about it because my main concern right now is that the team keeps on growing and that the players keep on understanding each other," Pochettino told saintsfc.co.uk.

"We had many good chances in our previous games, especially against West Ham, so it's not something that worries me. What does worry me is that the team keeps on growing and that they play well to get the three points from every single match that we play."

"I think we also need to improve on the defensive side because we need to improve overall,"

"What we need to have is a balance between the offence in attack and the defending, but I think we need to improve defensively as well, so there needs to be a balance between the two."
Southhampton will visit Anfield with a relatively complete line-up, with only Daniel Fox doubtful because of an ankle injury.
