Bayern Munich collides with Schalke 04 on matchday 6 in the German Bundesliga.

The defending Bundesliga champions just came off a 3-0 victory against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

Left-back David Alaba provided an early highlight when he struck an astonishing free-kick at the 4 minute mark.

Bayern is holding the second spot in the Bundesliga with 13 points, tightly jousting for position in the top 3 against Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen who are with 15 and 12 points, respectively.

The Bavarians are showing how compact their team is as they have been winning games despite the absence of several key players like Mario Gotze, Javi Martinez, Thiago Alcantara and Holger Badstuber.

Winger Arjen Robben remains confident despite their injury woes.

"At the moment we're in good form and we have to keep that up," Robben told bundesliga.com.

"We now have a chance to go on a run, improve and work on certain things. At the end of the day, the most important thing is to pick up points and win matches."

Meanwhile, Schalke also came out as victors against Steau Bucharest in the Champions League with a scoreline of 3-0.

Ex-Milan attacker Kevin-Prince Boateng contributed in the scoring chores for the Royal Blues.

He is looking forward to not only play against his brother, Jerome Boateng, but as well as win the game on Saturday.

"We're both really looking forward to it. It's obviously great that we can both play against each other at such a high level. And of course I hope to be leaving the pitch as the winner," said Prince.

"We've spoken to each other and sent a few messages, sure. But now the preparation for the game begins, and for 90 minutes we won't be brothers."

Prince meant business as he stated that he will give it his best and expects the same from his brother.
