The National University Bulldogs will be facing the Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles on Wednesday, Sept 11, 2013.

Ray Parks and the Bulldogs, now with 9-4 win-loss record, will be looking to bounce back from their 2-point loss against the De La Salle Green Archers.

NU's 6-game winning streak was put to a halt by a similarly blazing La Salle squad.

Meanwhile, Ateneo, currently in fourth place, will try to solidify their chances of clinching the fourth seed of the final final four.

The Blue Eagles are tied with the University of Santo Tomas with a win-loss record of 7-5.

The Bulldogs will be facing a complete Blue Eagles squad, with Kiefer Ravena playing limited minutes during their first round encounter because of an ankle injury.

The Parks-Ravena match-up will be one of the anticipated highlights of the game.

Two-time MVP Parks is ahead of Ravena in terms of statistics, registering an unsurprising 19.83 points, 7.49 rebounds, 3.80 assists, 1.22 steals, and 1.15 blocks per ballgame.

Ravena comes into the game with 12.90 points, 4.50 rebounds, 2.20 assists, and 1.10 steals per game.

Despite the disparity of their individual stats, Ateneo, as a team, cannot be counted out because of their pride and winning tradition.

NU, on the other hand, is trying to build a reputation of becoming the team to beat and prove that they are the real deal.

While the game will be a close one, NU will get the upper hand because of a more complete and deeper roster, particularly, in the frontline, with Emmanuel Embe anchoring the middle.

Ateneo is living with a makeshift frontcourt, without a legitimate threat, offensively and defensively, in the shaded area.
