Arsenal FC goes against Olympique de Marseille on Tuesday for matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal will be with their € 50 million signing Mesut Ozil, who made his Premier League debut against Sunderland on Saturday and immediately made an impact by registering one assist.

Creativity in the middle of the park has been a cause of concern for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger since Cesc Fabregas left, but from the looks of it, Ozil may be his answered prayer.

He was a constant supplier to Cristiano Ronaldo during his tenure with Real Madrid and also has a knack of scoring goals himself.

The back line looks good, with the trio consisting of Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and skipper Thomas Vermaelen, who Wenger praises for being a well-rounded defender.

"he has all the attributes of a good centre back because he has the physical qualities and the technical qualities and the experience to read the game." Wenger told arsenal.com.

Problems are upfront, though, with Lukas Podolski (hamstring) who could be unavailable until November, and in-form striker Olivier Giroud experiencing knee problems.

"We have a few problems. Some with Ozil but the main one is Giroud, who has a knee problem. He will have a test tomorrow and hopefully he will be fit. But it will only be decided tomorrow."

Theo Walcott will be the "obvious solution," in case Giroud will not be available, according to Wenger.

As for Olympique de Marseille, there aren't any reports about key players incurring injuries.

Six of its players were called up to represent their respective countries during the international break.

André-Pierre Gignac has been on-form, scoring for OM in its first three games.

Marseille is currently placed at fifth in the Ligue 1, winning 3 and drawing 1 out of their 5 games.
