Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen will be facing each other on Tuesday, for their first game of the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League.

United sits on fifth place in the English Premier League with 7 points, garnered out of the four games that they have played.

Things are looking good for United as perturbed striker Wayne Rooney is seemingly getting back on track, having featured for 90 minutes each in two of their last three games, sitting out one due to a head injury.

Dutchman Robin Van Persie is also in form, scoring 3 a total of goals in United's last four outings in the Premier League.

Creativity in midfield or the lack thereof is one of the key concerns for United coming into this match.

There are no key players reported to be out with significant injuries for the Red Devils

While United boss David Moyes is thrilled to be calling the shots for the Red Devils for the first time in Europe, he is also wary of the fact that it will not be an easy task.

"I've been excited about it ever since I've joined Manchester United," Moyes told manutd.com.

"I think all groups are tough. You used to be able to always pick out the group winners but in the last few years that has become more difficult. It is more unpredictable than it was."

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender, Dominik Kohr and Niklas Lamb may not feature for the German side due to respective injuries sustained.

Stefan Kiessling, who scored two goals on Saturday against VFL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, will be leading the Lions.

Kiessling was the top scorer of the Bundesliga during the 2012/13 season, netting 17 goals.
