NBA preseason continues Thursday night when the Minnesota Timberwolves face the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday night in an exhibition game in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Timberwolves became the third NBA victim of European team CSKA Moscow when they faced in an exhibition game last Monday with the latter winning in overtime, 108-to-106.

Minnesota made sure they won’t lose back-to-back games to non-American teams when they manhandled the Toronto Raptors, 101-to-89 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto Wednesday evening.

The Bucks meanwhile fell in their preseason debut against the Cleveland Cavaliers, 87-to-99.

As with majority of the preseason games, starters are preferred rested while the fringe players-- those who want to crack the rotation or roster-- are given the chances to impress their respective coaches.

In the loss against CSKA Moscow, Derrick Williams, who’s pegged to back-up both forward spots scored 10 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter. New shooting guard Kevin Martin, who’ll most likely start at the SG spot, finished with 16 points but shot only 5-of-15 from the field in his Minnesota debut.

In the win against the Raptors the suspects finally emerged. Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic combined for 32 points and 17 rebounds in limited minutes while JJ Barea (12 points) and Alexey Schved (10) contributed off the bench.

For the Bucks, only free agent pick-up Stephen Graham scored in double-digits (15 points) against the Cavs. Although the minutes were intentionally scattered by head coach Larry Drew as 15 players suited up in the game.

O.J. Mayo had 7 points on 3-of-10 shooting and Brandon Knight finished with 4 points on 1-of-8 shooting in their first games as a Buck.
