[WATCH] Viral: All-Kitten Remake Of The Lion King
Kittens have become stars in their own right as the short clip video remake of "The Lion King" starring the furry felines go viral.
The Pet Collective posted this two-minute and 18-second video clip of the abridged remake of the Disney-animated feature. Narrated by a boy named Jackson, the entire clip starred four cute kittens and was shot at a cat playhouse.
Props included paper cutouts colored with crayons and stuffed toys playing as supporting characters. Jackson even sang a few off-key notes of "Hakuna Matata" and "Can You Feel The Love Tonight."
One notable scene in the clip was when the kitten Mufasa was being dragged by a stampede of wildebeest played by plastic horses. Ryan Broderick of Buzzfeed said the scene that The Pet Collective "deal with the more sad stuff, but in a much more elegant way."
Many sources cited this video as the best that The Pet Collective has made so far. E! Online said The Pet Collective "has delivered yet again" and it is "as adorable as you can imagine it," especially when the kittens themselves can't really roar.
The Examiner said this version of "The Lion King" might be the best version of the Disney story yet.
"Easy enough for even the youngest fans to follow along while pleasing the cat lovers around the world. It's no wonder why this video has gone viral. People can hardly wait to view it firsthand," The Examiner noted.
Meanwhile, Mashable cited that movie remakes are usually not as good as the original but this all-kitten version of the movie comes close.
This was not the first time the Pet Collective made parodies and remakes of popular movies. They have recreated "Home Alone" starring a pug puppy and a feline version of Anchorman entitled, "The Legend of Ron Furgundy."
