The plot thickens. Wayne Coyne of "The Flaming Lips" share what he knew of Dr. Luke and Ke$ha's relationship, and of the abuse that Kesha said she received from the producer.

After filing a suit against Dr. Luke for the abuse she reportedly experienced under him, and a deposition in 2011 from Kesha herself surfacing to invalidate all these claims, Wayne Coyne came forward to contribute to the battle. According to him, Kesha could not have been more scared and worried of Dr. Luke more than a year ago, costing a collaboration between the band and Kesha.

"The stuff that [the Lips and Kesha] did together was just spectacular," Coyne told Radio.com. "I think we did like four or five songs, and then Kesha would remind me, 'Wayne, I can't put this music out. Dr Luke will kill me.' I was like, 'Oh! I didn't know!'"

Coyne had nothing but good to say at the height of their collaboration in early 2013. He share to Reddit AMA how funny, humble, and badass Kesha was. After they had a song team up on Lips' Heady Fwends compilation, they were reportedly planning a full-length album entitled "Lip$ha." However, this was shelved.

As they worked on the album, Ke$ha was enjoying herself a lot, probably because she was free to do the songs she liked. "I don't know Dr Luke at all, but when [Kesha and I] speak, I [know] there [was] some anxiety about their relationship," Coyne shared. "I think she would like to have the freedom to do more things in that spirit ... Where it's not producers producing her."

Coyne still hopes the material they had in Lip$ha come up in the future. Coyne believes that Ke$ha should become "the king of her own destiny," like Miley was able to do.

Dr. Luke already defended himself againt Ke$ha's allegations. The producer said all the claims are lies, and could be compared to an "outrageous fiction." Dr. Luke's lawyers also released a deposition in 2011 wherein Ke$ha reportedly denied in court any abuse against her. Ke$ha's lawyers however claimed that the deposition cannot be treated as a very reliable evidence because battered women often have the tendency to protect their abusers.

The industry can only watch on as the court case continues on.
