"Let me show you what viral videos are made of," seems to be the message of Marina Shifrin's "Interpretive Dance For My Boss" video on YouTube.

"I work for an awesome company that makes news videos," writes Marina Shifrin. She produces web content for a living. She says she had to sacrifice some important stuff offline, because her boss counts only online views in life. And so she decided it's time to quit. What a better way to do it than to show her boss how viral she can get. Some viewers say her video is funny; others find it annoying.

Through her video, "An Interpretive Dance For My Boss Set To Kanye West's Gone," Marina Shifrin manages to teach newbies (and her boss) how to make a viral video. Here are Shifrin's five steps to getting 10 million YouTube views in one week:

1. Have some very strong thoughts and feelings about something very relatable for the netizens. Many of the viral videos today are extremes: extremely funny, extremely horrible, provocative, or simply, relatable. Marina has had enough of a job that's taken so much from her, but the company has taken her and her ideas for granted. How many times does one hear this in social conversations - online and offline?

2. If you must give a piece of your mind, do it while dancing. Because, why not?

3. If you must dance to resign, pick the best resignation theme of all time. Of all time! Kanye West's Gone may not have the words for her exact sentiments, but the title alone seals it.

4. Engage your audience to a discussion. "I thought it was just girl trying to be funny until I realised it's a Taiwan company. After reading the boss interview, I can't help but think the problem lies with the girl instead. If you are in Taiwan, why are u expecting to be treated the American way?" YouTube user northernstarlite responds to the video.

"Your boss only cares about the business? Surprised? Grow up," says meyers66.

"Awesome. And she leaves in style - no one owns you. The world is your oyster. Time for a change and a better one. Touche!" Bachconcertos writes.

5. If you're brilliant and you know it, flaunt your creative mind. And tell the world how to reach you. "I believe it's more important to focus on the quality of the content. When you learn to improve this, the views will come," Marina Shifrin writes in her YouTube video description. "Wanna deal with me?" She asks, giving her Web site address.

Marina Shifrin's name may not ring a bell in a couple more days or weeks. But the girl who quits her job in Taiwan -- and dances in a video that goes viral - will last longer in social media junkies' memory. Whether she contradicted herself or made a point across, it's up to her to decide.

VIDEO: 'I Work for an Awesome Company' but 'I Quit'

Marina Shifrin's viral video is doing much better in views than her former company's response video, which has gathered only 1.5 million views, so far (published 3 days later on YouTube).
