The Weeknd performs a remix of ‘The Hills’ with Nicki Minaj on ‘Saturday Night Live’ show [WATCH]
Canadian singer The Weeknd performed a remix of his hit single “The Hills” on the Amy Schumer-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live show.
The Weeknd sang the first verse of the song before Nicki Minaj entered the stage unannounced to rap a verse from the remix. Minaj wore a lacy red and purple dress revealing her thong underneath.
"Remember that time I showed up with just panties up in my coat / High heels that was knee high and my legs was gripping that throat... 'cause you're safe / Baby, third base," Minaj sang.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, also performed his track “Can’t Feel My Face” on the show. Saturday Night Live posted a series of clips from the performance of The Weeknd and Minaj on Twitter.
The Weeknd also shared the news about his two new remixes of “The Hills” last Saturday on his Twitter account. “The Hills” remixes, one featuring Eminem and the other with Minaj, were released Saturday on iTunes.
“THE HILLS REMIXES OUT NOW @NICKIMINAJ & @Eminem,” he wrote.
“The Hills” currently sits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The singer and songwriter is famous for his chart topping songs “The Hills,” “Earned It” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” He also has collaborated with Juicy J, Ariana Grande and Wiz Khalifa.
Meanwhile, Minaj uploaded a video of their performance via Instagram on Sunday. “Lol I had so much fun performing on SNL. They're always a pleasure to be around. Thank u, Abel - The Hills Remix is now on iTunes. #MakeSomeNoiseNewYork,” she captioned.
Marshall Mathers, known by his stage name Eminem, tweeted his latest collaboration with The Weeknd. “Too good to pass up! I had to do the remix for #thehills with @theweeknd” he wrote.
