If you are a wide traveler, then you must be willing to try any kind of hotel available, even the weirdest and most unusual ones.

Telegraph UK came up with a selection of the most unusual looking hotels you can find around the globe.

The Dog Bark Park Inn in Idaho will give the idiom "sleeping in the dog house" a whole new meaning. This is a bed and breakfast accommodation that is made inside a huge beagle design construction measuring at 12ft. If you are a dog lover, then it is definitely worth checking in this hotel.

If you want something extremely weird and a bit creepy, then head to South Australia and discover the Old Jail or the Mount Gambier Prison. It is the crazy hotel for the independent and solo minded travelers out there. You have a yard to exercise in and you'll see nothing much has changed with the former prison cells. This goes the same for the Hostel Celica in Slovenia which is also a renovated former prison.

In New Zealand, you can try out The Hobbit Motel located within Woodlyn Park. Its rooms are obviously inspired by the Lord of the Rings movie making it very warm and homely for every fan of the book and movie.

Hotel.info also has their own list of weird hotels to boast of starting off with the Kolarbyn Eco Lodge in Sweden. This is perfect for the traveler who wants to go back to the roots, literally. It reunites you with Mother Nature since it is located within the woods.

The site also mentioned another weird hotel in Australia called the Thorngrove Manor. The amazing property is situated within the Adelaide Hills and comes with a beautiful façade which constantly gets attention from any tourist from around the world.
