Rumours are ripe and the Internet has been sent to overdrive as reports of Vladimir Putin-Wendi Deng romance pour in. Deng made quite a name for herself, apart from being a successful businesswoman, after a much-gossiped divorce with billionaire News Corp. chief Rupert Murdoch and affairs linking her with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Alphabet chairman Eric Schmidt. Deng was also spotted boarding Russian businessman Roman Abramovich’s yacht in St. Barts on March 28.

Abramovich also happens to be friends with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Now, rumours are circulating over her alleged romance with Putin, reports Us Weekly. An insider even said that the two are pretty serious about their relationship.

Murdoch filed for divorce in June 2013 after 14 years of marriage. He grew suspicious about Deng’s relationship with Blair although Blair’s camped denied any reports of their linkup.

It is still unclear if reports of a Putin-Deng romance are true or not. The two are yet to be spotted in public. However, 63-year-old Putin is single after divorcing his wife of 30 years in 2014. The size of Putin’s fortune is also debatable and equally a topic of gossip like pretty much everything he does.

Once Putin said he makes US$100,000 (AU$131,100 approx) a year. However, a former Russian fund manager estimated his net worth to be US$200 billion (AU$262 billion), which makes him the richest man in the world.

A world leader, who reportedly has 700 automobiles, 58 aircrafts, palaces and pretty much everything at his disposal, would be complete with a woman’s touch. Probably that’s where Deng is stepping in.

In 2015, Putin boasted about his two daughters he had with wife Lyudmila Putina to thousands of reporters. It will be interesting to see how their daughters react if rumours of this romance turn out to be true.
