“Wentworth” season 4 has seen Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) lying in a pool of her own blood. She was stabbed multiple times by Joan “The Freak” Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe). In spite of the shocking sight in “Wentworth” season 4 finale, fans are hoping that Smith is alive next season. However, Smith being alive in “Wentworth” season 5 is impossible as actress Katrina Milosevic (Boomer) has confirmed that her co-star has left the series.

During her interview in “Kyle & Jackie O Show,” Milosevic has shared the reaction of other “Wentworth” cast regarding the demise of Smith. She said it is certainly a loss for them and she is aware that the audience must have the same feelings about it.

“The fact that Danielle has left, I’m still getting my head around it,” she said. “Of course, it’s such a loss. And I know the audience must be feeling it too,” Milosevic said.

Milosevic has confirmed that Smith had endured a total of 15 stabs. Anyone who has been stabbed 15 times would find it pretty hard to survive.

She went on to explain that the thing about the show is that things need to change. The “Wentworth” cast has to grow and smash open the plot.

TV Week noted that Milosevic has assured fans that Cormack understood that her character had to die. She described her as an extremely smart, talented girl and she is always after the story.

In a statement, the show producer has pointed out to the show’s reputation for risk-taking, high emotion and bold storytelling. The majority of fans would agree that the dramatic closing scene of “Wentworth” season 4 is proof of that.

The first season of the crime drama television series originally aired on SoHo in Australia. Filming for the next instalment is reportedly underway. Official air date for “Wentworth” season 5 is yet to be announced.
