What should Apple fans expect?

Release and Roll Out Dates in Stores

The iPhone 5S is expected to be released as wells as the more affordable iPhone 5C. Reports also said that Apple will feature a sneak peak to a gold iPhone. And, there will be more comprehensive information about the new iOS 7 system. Apple is also expected to confirm the dates for the iPhone 5S and the hiPhone 5C roll out in stores on Sept. 20.

Larger Screen Display

According to a report from The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Apple is testing larger screen displays for iPhone devices.

"The electronics giant has begun evaluating a plan to offer iPhones with screens ranging from 4.8 inches to as high as 6 inches, people familiar with the matter say. That would be a sizable leap from the 4-inch screen of the iPhone 5 released last year, and, at the upper end, would be one of the largest on the market."

The report was supported by a Twitter post by WSJ's Ian Sherr:

The larger screen display impressed a larger percentage of Apple fans as an informal survey conducted by CNET revealed that only 21 percent of those surveyed were satisfied with the 4-inch iPhone screen display, while a remarkable 60 percent want screens larger than 4.7 inches.

It seemed like Apple CEO Tim Cook is about to change his mind about larger screen display which he objected to in a statement back in April.

"My view continues to be that the iPhone 5 has the absolute best display in the industry. And we always strive to create the very best display for our customers...Some customers value large screen size; others value also other factors such as resolution, color quality, white balance, brightness, reflectivity, screen longevity, power consumption, portability, compatibility with apps, and many things. Our competitors had made some significant trade-offs in many of these areas in order to ship a larger display; we would not ship a larger display iPhone while these trade-offs exist."

iPhablet

With Apple already considering larger screen displays, rumours had it that there will be an iPhone with a screen display as large as 6 inches. That will make it 2 inches bigger than the current iPhone 5 device and, hence, will fall into the category of phablets.

The iPhablet is set to be the counterpart offering against Acer Liquid S2 and Samsung's 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 and 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega.
