Google invites for the July 24 even in San Francisco started circulating already. Sundar Pichai, the company's head for Android and Chrome, will be hosting an early get-together on the same day. As Pichai will be leading the event, spectators can only guess that Google's event will be revolving around Android and Chrome.

Previously at the Google I/O conference, the company did not divulge much about the newest Android platform. Analysts have several things in mind what Google may likely announce during the event.

Firstly, a new version of the Android will come out. Nonetheless, based from the version number, 4.3, the newest Android platform will be a refreshed version of the Jelly Bean. People may do well not to expect extensive or completely new features for this version. Reported features include a new dialer, Bluetooth Low Energy and new application for cameras.

The most popular hardware coming featuring the new Android 4.3 is the second installment of the Nexus 7. Reports say the new Nexus 7 will come round the end of July just in time after the July 24 event. The timing is uncanny. Features include the same 7-inch screen, Nvidia Tegra chip and Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm. There is also a 5MP camera.

However, debates are still ongoing on whether Google will really call the device Nexus 7.2. It does not sound right for most. People expect the name more to live up to the capacity of the device.

So far, these two remain the top contenders for what Pichai will announce during the event. There is also the Nexus 4 smartphone that can possibly hit stores soon.
