The 7th installment is set to be released this summer but with the sudden death of one of its lead protagonists, Paul Walker, the installment has been on hiatus.

Paul Walker, who plays the role of Brian O'Connor, died in a car crash and many were shocked. He was known for his role in the "Fast and the Furious" and as a man who loved helping others.

As reported by Yahoo!, the director of "Fast and the Furious" had a meeting with Universal Pictures. James Wan, the director said that they were going to have to change the script and how they would be able to make it a good one with respect towards Paul Walker. They would want to be able to know "how to proceed in a manner that would be respectful to Walker's death."

The 7th installment was said to be halfway done and additional scenes were to take place in Abu Dhabi in January. The actors in the movie include Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson, and Jordana Brewster. The 6th installment of the movie gained in the worldwide box office a stunning $2.3 billion.

Universal Pictures released a statement after learning of the news on Paul Walker saying:

"All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the 'Fast and Furious' films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."

The actor was headed to a charity event with a friend when their car had crashed near Los Angeles. Fans and friends still in the state of shock from what had happened and many other celebrities have expressed their sadness through social networking sites.

Paul Walker will always be remembered as a good man, heading out to help people once again.
