Channel Nine is daring the Australian women to be a part of Australia's two extreme reality dating shows that are lined up by the channel for the year 2014. Channel Nine has unveiled its plans to launch TV shows "Married at First Sight" and "When Love Comes to Town" with a new and desperate approach of finding love and romance.

While it's easy to think of love at first sight, it is definitely hard to be married at first sight. But determined to make it a reality, Channel Nine is launching these shows for the Australia's single women in search of a boyfriend or husband.

"Married at First Sight" is one show that has garnered immense attention due to its format. The show will have a group of relationship experts who will assist in determining the compatibility quotient of eight Australian singles or four couples. Their first meeting will be at the altar when they marry each other in a mass wedding. The newlywed pair will then have their honeymoon, meet their in-laws and build a home together. In their efforts to adjust and settle with each other's lives as legitimate couple they will be followed by the channel in the series over the period of next three months.

The other show that has created a buzz is "When Love Comes to Town." A little less extreme than "Married at First Sight" this show will feature 12 single girls living a city life, but have had bad luck in matters of love and are still looking out for that special someone. This is a travelling reality dating show wherein these 12 single ladies will be meeting two most eligible bachelors of Australia residing in some of the most "remote and picturesque" places of the beautiful country.

These 12 single ladies will get a chance to date and get to know these guys better and learn more about their lifestyle, family, friends, community and more, before they make the decision of their lives. If they are not convinced they have a chance of boarding the bus and look for love in the next town.

Among the two new shows by Channel Nine, "Married at First Sight's" format was most talked about at this year's MIPCOM television programme sales market in Cannes, France. It became a subject of discussions and skepticism.

Australia has a long list of dating shows on small screen such as "Chains of Love," "Australia's Perfect Couple," "Dating in the Dark," "The Bachelor" and more.

Channel Nine's "When Love Comes to Town" and "Married at First Sight" will only be adding to the list of these Australia's extreme dating shows. Though the date for the shows' launch is not yet announced but the lineup is set for year 2014. Both the shows sound extreme and exciting, but which one of these two excites you the most?
