Where to Watch NBA Online: Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks Betting Trends and Game Preview
Will Melo Lead the NBA in Scoring Once Again?
Still led by Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler, the Knicks welcome to the Big Apple Metta World Peace and Andrea Bargnani, both of whom will be making their Knicks debut against the new-look Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
Also back for the Knicks are Amare Stoudemire, Pablo Prigioni and Raymond Felton. J.R. Smith’s 2013 debut will have to wait as he’s suspended for the first five games of the 2013-2014 regular season.
The Bucks, meanwhile, overhauled their backcourt during the summer. The previous chuckers starters in Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis are gone now. Replacing them are more pass-friendly guards and court generals that could bode well for Milwaukee’s hope of more success this season.
Shooting guard O.J. Mayo was signed as a free agent, point guard Brandon Knight came in the sign-and-trade with Detroit and guards Luke Ridnour and Gary Neal came via free agency as well adding veteran leadership from these spots.
The usual suspects for both teams are expected to key in their respective teams’ regular season runs.
Anthony led the Knicks—and the entire league-- in scoring (28.7 PPG) last season while also adding 6.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Chandler led the team in rebounding (10.7 RPG) and blocked shots (1.2 BPG) and will be the man in the middle for the defensively-challenged Knicks.
With Jennings and Ellis gone from Milwaukee, more shots will go around in the Bucks’ offense.
Big man Larry Sanders (9.8 PPG, 9.5 RPG and 2.8 BPG) is known as a defensive demon, but his offense can pick up in 2013, while newcomers Mayo and Knight average 15.2 PPG and 13.1 PPG, respectively, in their careers and will most likely help in the scoring department as well.
