White Collar Season 4 Finale: Someone takes a fall from a senator's death and Neal Caffrey won't allow it

White Collar Season 4: The Sins of the Father

After a long and challenging journey to find Ellen's box, Neal Caffrey finally got the evidence that revealed his father's past. It turns out his dad James did kill his superior thirty years ago. (How many more lies should Neal hear from the one person he should be able to trust?)

"Don't! Don't make me do something I'll regret!" James tells Neal. This intense scene developed as a result of Senator Pratt being shot to death by Neal's dad. In a heart-breaking twist, Peter has been framed for the crime. "Let me give you some advice. In this life, somebody always takes a fall. Don't let it be you." That is one crappy advice. How would Neal let someone who truly cares for him suffer for a crime he did not commit? He wouldn't. And the Season 5 journey will show just that.

Good thing Mozzie never trusted James. He was instrumental to securing the contents of the evidence box. Viewers can also expect him to do everything to get Peter out of jail - the legal way.

White Collar Season 4: The Con-man Proposes

The horrible framing of Peter is balanced out by a very romantic proposal at the Empire State Building. Neal gets on bended knee to get Sara's "Y-E-S." But that's only part of a strategy to get to where Ellen's box is located. It was a planned fake proposal, all right, but Sara herself told Neal, "You bastard. That was a little too real."

Neal Caffrey's proposal quote is not some line that any other man could use. "First time we spoke, you called me a sociopath. The first time we had dinner, you asked me what I wanted from you. And the first time we kissed, I realized I don't want anything...except you. And now I'm asking if you'll go on one more adventure with me."

"I don't think we're done seeing Sara. England isn't that far away for someone like Neal and her," Eastin tells The Hollywood Reporter. He also dishes, White Collar Season 5 will pick up from where it left off, no time jump.

"We did a heavily serialized season this year. You had to pay attention to every [White Collar] episode this year, and next year, I want to relax that a little bit," Eastin also said.
