"White Collar" returns for its fifth season, with 13 episodes, on October 17, 2013. Since the first season of "White Collar," Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) has found himself landing on sticky grounds because of Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) but this time he has been accused of first degree murder, the murder that Neal's father committed.

The circumstantial evidence is stacked against Peter and it almost looks like there is nothing to be done. In the new sneak-peek released by USA Network, Peter wears a dishevelled look and is teary-eyed seeing his wife, Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen). He can be heard telling her, "Hi Hon, I hate for you to see me like this."

Elizabeth believes that he will come back even stronger. In the sneak peek of episode 1, "White Collar" Season 5, "At What Price," She is telling Peter: "You gonna beat this Peter Burke. You gonna come home to me." Peter promises her that he will come home.

As we have been reporting, Neal will be making a pact with the villain of the pilot episode, 'The Dutchman' -- Curtis Hagen (C.H.). Mark Sheppard will be reprising his role of Curtis Hagen and will help Neal prove the innocence of Peter. But, there is a price attached to that, which will put Neal back on the path of con.

In the new season of "White Collar," Peter and Elizabeth's relationship of trust will be tested as a woman from Peter's past will surface. Kim Dickens has been casted as Peter's ex-girlfriend. The actress will be portraying the role of Jill Stone, an agent of FBI's Special Surveillance Group.

Peter and Jill were in a relationship when both were studying at Quantico. Jill will be back in Peter's life to take his help on an espionage case. This professional relationship may lead to a mini-storm in Peter's personal life.

"White Collar" Season 5 does not look like a happy season for Peter Burke.
