FX's horror anthology series "American Horror Story" has roped in Matt Bomer of "White Collar" and "The Normal Heart" fame to star in Season 4, which is subtitled "Freak Show."

Entertainment Weekly [EW] reports that Bomer has signed-on as a guest-star to appear in one episode of the horror anthology series. The actor's role has been kept under wraps. Ryan Murphy, co-creator of "American Horror Story," described Bomer's role as being "very ... warped." He did not spill more details.

Murphy told EW that Bomer, who he has directed in HBO's mini-series "The Normal Heart," is an "amazing" actor.

"I try to get him to do everything for me," Murphy told EW. "I sent him a text that said, 'First right of refusal, here's the role.' It's very...warped."

Bomer plays the suave con-man, with style and loads of attitude, in USA Network's "White Collar." He recently finished filming the final season, Season 6, of the series, which consists of six episodes. "White Collar" Season 6 is expected to premiere sometime in winter 2015.

It will be exciting to see if the actor portrays one of the freaks in Elsa Mars [Jessica Lange] managed freak show. Bomer is also reprising his "Magic Mike" role in the film's sequel, which is scheduled to release on July 03, 2015. The filming of the movie begins this fall. According to Murphy, he had to "work around" Bomer's "Magic Mike" 2 filming schedule to make him star in "Freak Show."

In addition to Bomer, Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, John Carroll Lynch, Bomer's "The Normal Heart" co-actor Finn Wittrock, Jyoti Amge [world's smallest woman], and Patti LaBelle are also joining the cast of "American Horror Story" Season 4.

The old cast members returning in Season 4 are Lange, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts and Gabourey Sidibe.
