The singer's cause of death may have been resolved, but is it a reliable or not? Sources are adamant that Whitney Houston died of drowning due to a mix of anti-depressants and alcohol.

According to Rolling Stone magazine's website, the legendary vocalist, who died Saturday, Houston's cause of death might have been drowning. In a report by TMZ, Houston's hairdresser found the singer face-down on her hotel bathtub after getting worried that the singer has been there for an hour.

It was also reported that the iconic Houston was currently taking Xanax and other prescription pills and alcohol before she slipped on her shower and drowned to her untimely death. According to TMZ, the dangerous mix of the substances might have caused her to slip at the back of tub into the pool of water.

It was also said that one of her bodyguards "attempted" to perform CPR on the singer in hopes that she will revive consciousness after she was found unconscious in the bathroom. Houston was proclaimed dead at 3:55 AM.
