She had beaten around the bush, yes but it took only one week for former TV journalist, Maria Shriver to keep her lips sealed before she reportedly ‘leak to media the news about her estranged husband’s child’ with their former housekeeper, Mildred Baena.

News.Com.Au is reporting that with the support of her friends, Maria Shriver had gathered all her strength to keep to herself the information about Arnie’s son with Mildred, whom she found out shortly before the couple announced their split mid-May.

While the journalist was bent on compounding the announcement on separation with news of the True Lies actor’s reported infidelities, her friends had allegedly persuaded her to wait for one week before she made her move. And she obliged. For one week. Then the news of the love child has been picked up by countless news outlets with some even bravely naming the mother and child.

According to a report by News.Com.Au., Shriver agreed to keep quiet about the sad news but readily shared the details to friends at LA Times a week after the official announcement of her split from husband of 25 years.

The former journalist has also reportedly hired a detective to look into reverberating rumors that the Terminator actor had more illegitimate children aside from the 13-year-old love child with Baena.

"Maria is leaving no stone unturned and she has authorised a private detective to gather personal and business information about Arnold," News.Com.Au quoted a source cited in a report by the RadarOnline.

The same source added: "The investigator will likely look into the claims that he fathered multiple children, outside their marriage. Maria has heard the rumours and she wants to find out one way or another, if those claims are true."

Now that the can of worms has been opened, it appears that the former California governor is facing what reports consider “the costliest divorce” in Hollywood.
