Who Should be the Next ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’: From Emma Stone to Selena Gomez [PHOTOS]
2012 is the year of film remakes, from the 90's "Dark Shadows" to fairy tale classics "Snow White and the Huntsman". Now it looks as if another film remake is in the works and it's going to be on the 90's hit television show "Sabrina the Teenage Witch".
With all the lovely actresses in Hollywood, who is worthy enough to play the charming and talented witch first brought to life by Melissa Joan Hart?
Given she did play a witch from the hit Disney show, "Wizards of Waverly Place", Selena Gomez may have the knack to play a teenage witch. Her hair color may pose a little bit of a problem given that Sabrina is blonde but look at the wonders of dye jobs such as Jennifer Lawrence as the brown-haired beauty, Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games".
Another dark haired beauty that may play the role is "Mirror Mirror" star, Lily Collins. Would she look great with blonde locks? Well, there's only one way to find out if she does get the part. Shaileene Woodley of "The Descendants" and Hailee Steinfield of "True Grit" are also a few worthy choices to play the teenage witch.
Having mentioned the brunettes, it's time to mention a few worthy blonde actresses who can play Sabrina. "Easy A's'" Emma Stone has been deemed by a few fans as the most worthy choice especially with her knack for humor. Blonde beauties, Annasophia Robb, Diana Agron, Dakota Fanning and Emma Roberts also make it to list of likely candidates.
Though her age is a bit debatable as a candidate to play Sabrina, Chloe Moretz who is set to star as the next "Carrie," has proven her acting chops to deserve a spot in the top ten choices to play the teenage witch.
Sony has still been under complete secrecy as to whom the cast really is but according to Deadline the film will have an edgier tone and with a completely different romantic twist that involves Sabrina's furry pal, Salem.
Writers Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer are on board the film remake while producers include Don Murphy, Susan Montford, Jon Goldwater and Jeff Stockwell.
