Thanks to readers initially pulled in to erotic series by E.L. James, Day's "Bared to You" has sold over a million copies within three months of release. The sequel, "Reflected In You" also became a No. 1 hit at New York Times Best Sellers.

Only hardcore fans can specifically point out the difference between Christian Grey and Gideon Cross. As far as Day is concerned, the two characters are "very different." For casual readers, they are both under-30, both sex demigods, and both billionaires. This brings to mind the question --

Who Will Play Christian Grey?

In case the Crossfire series gets sold to a movie outfit, it is logical to have two actors to play the roles of Christian Grey and Gideon Cross. Obviously at this point, Grey will be cast first.

In an Examiner report, James said there are more to looks than what should be considered in casting Grey:

"I think emotional intelligence, a sense of humor [are important for Christian] ... those kind of things. I feel like we haven't gotten that far yet in the process, though."

There are no reports yet of Crossfire rights purchase. Still, fans are naming the same Christian-Grey-potentials for the role of Gideon Cross. Common choices include Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder and Henry Cavill. Some Pinterest users are naming Canadian actor Taylor Kitsch and British model David James Gandy for Gideon Cross.
