Lady Gaga may have a very successful career and life, but one thing is still missing. She still wants someone to share it all with. The singer recently admitted to Vanity Fair that she is worried about being single forever.

She claimed that all her boyfriends have come to hate her. The singer said that she has never felt happy with a man believing that her creativity triggers jealousy and resentment from her lovers.

"I think what it really is, is that I date creative people. And I think that's what intimidates them is not my purse, it's my mind," Gaga admitted about not yet finding a man to keep up with her.

"I only know the happiness of putting a smile on someone's face from the stage," the "Born this Way" singer stated.

"I have this effect on people where it starts out good," Gaga, who was recently linked to "Vampire Diaries" actor Taylor Kinney, told Vanity Fair. And after initial closeness, she says her relationships always come a cropper due to competition.

"Then, when I'm in these relationships with people who are also creative, or creative in their own way, what happens is the attraction is initially there and it's all unicorns and rainbows. And then they hate me," she said.

"Perhaps it's a whose-d***-is-bigger contest. If I go to the piano and write a quick song and play it back, they are angry with how fast and effortless it is," the singer stated. Gaga says she has learned to get out when relationships turn ugly.

"I had a man say to me, 'You will die alone in a house bigger than you know, with all your money and hit records, and you will die alone'," the singer confessed.

"I have never felt truly cherished by a lover. I have an inability to know what happiness feels like with a man," she added.

"I say this honestly, and this is my new thing as of the past year. When I fight with someone I'm in a relationship with, I think, 'What would my fans think if they knew this was happening? How would they feel about my work and about me as a female if they knew I was allowing this to go on?' And then I get out," Gaga said.

"Talent and perseverance and pushing the boundaries of love and acceptance" are what it takes to win her, the star revealed.
