Why Kylie Minogue Deserves Her Hall Of Famer Award At The ARIAs
ARIA Awards of 2011 gets to have the most famous gay icon of Australia become one of their classic and highly respected Hall of Famers, Kylie Minogue.
If one would remember history well, 25 years have passed since Kylie Minogue got her very first ARIA Award. She was awarded then for her hit song 'Locomotion' as the 'Highest Selling Single' that time. She was wearing then a complete 80s look with a suit jacket, her curls and of course her very deep red lips.
And after 25 years, it just seems deserving for Kylie to receive this great honour from the Australian music industry. She is joined by other prominent names in the music scene like AC/DC, Olivia Newton John, Paul Kelly, INXS, and a lot more.
It only takes a few like Kylie whose career can truly stand the test of time. Since the year of 1987, she has released studio albums amounting to 11 along with two live CDs and live concert DVDs that total to eight.
She has also starred in a lot of movies and shows on television. Considering that her concert tours are deemed to be one of the most spectacular any audience has ever seen.
In 2011, she has been able to release her 'Dazzling Darling' perfume along with other bestselling products straight from her own brand called 'Kylie Minogue at Home.' She was also honoured as an honorary doctorate straight from Anglia Ruskin University for her active work on the promotion of the awareness of breast cancer.
Last year's ARIA Awards came with a 'no host' format and this 2011 marked its 25th anniversary, making it serve as one epic celebration of a wonderful year for great and amazing Australian music.
