It is one tough fight for two hopefuls in the American Idol finale, and this time it is between Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips.

All over the Net, it has been apparent how much the Fillipino and Mexican communities are in support for the young Sanchez but this does not trouble the 21-year-old contender Phillips. What could be the edge of Phillips over Sanchez to make him be the more deserving winner for American Idol 2012?

The answer to this question is way too easy to understand especially each time you would see him perform with his acoustic guitar. A hardworking guy with an impressive tech college resume, Phillips has been the only one who had delivered the most 'original' performances of the season.

With his gravel voice and charming persona, who would not want Phillips to grab the top prize as American Idol? Many say that he is like the perfect mix of John Mayer and David Grohl.

If there is one last thing that Phillips should remember is to show that wimpy, awkward meltdown on stage once he gets to be announced as the winner. Everyone should look forward to more unique Phillips' music even after the curtain call of American Idol 2012.
