Why Robert Pattinson Turn Down Christian Grey Role?

Twilight heartthrob could have made a perfect Christian Grey, but he had to turn down the highly sought-after role. Why he turned back of the Christian Grey race, let us find out.

After reportedly walking out on the movie, 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' this month Charlie Hunnam has thrown a spanner in the works and leading to fresh speculation as to who will play the Christian Grey role.

Pattinson has been one of the favorites to replace Hunnam, but reports claimed his busy work schedule forced him to say no for the awesome deal.

"The real reason Rob turned down 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is that it just doesn't fit his work schedule. He read the script and was more than flattered when he was offered the role, but he is already committed to like three other films ... It had nothing to do with the film somehow prolonging his sex status Twilight image," a source told hollywoodlife.com.

With three films in pre-production, it makes sense that Pattinson wouldn't be able to take up the role in 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' which is due to start shooting next month:

1.Mission: Blacklist ( military drama about the interrogation of Saddam Hussein)

2.Queen of the Desert with Nicole Kidman

3.Hold on to Me with Carey Mulligan

The source also revealed that Pattinson has read the "Fifty Shades of Grey" novel and even met E.L. James.

"He even joked that if he were to star in the film, he would buy his own personal tanning bed and would be working out even harder than he already does," the insider said.

Hunnam allegedly walked out of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie because he did not want to get as famous as Pattinson.

"He didn't want to be typecast. He didn't want the Robert Pattinson-esque attention that would come along with taking on this role," according to People.
