There is no denying that the Episode 1 Unpacked event that Samsung promised on March 14 in New York is for its next flagship - the Galaxy S4.

It will be a glittery event that will likely match the magnitude of spectacle employed by Apple in introducing fresh iPhone versions, analysts said. After all, the S4 to deliver another giant haul for Samsung this year.

And experts are convinced that with the hotly anticipated S4, Samsung will snatch back the smartphone leadership it lost to Apple in Q4 2012, likely eclipsing its predecessor's record sales of 40 million units and counting.

So what make the Galaxy S4 a winner, a money-maker in the mould of Apple's iPhone and its older sibling, the Galaxy S3?

Giant surprises

More than the superlative specs that already leaked out about the S4, Mashable believes Samsung is pulling out new magic tricks from its hat. We can expect a better ecosystem from the South Korean tech giant and the first serving will be on the new superphone.

While it remains Google-centric, as the S4 is an Android phone, Samsung undoubtedly is working doubly hard to push its DNA on every Galaxy handsets, more so for its top-notch smartphone.

As a top Samsung executive declared last year, the mobile phone maker is bent on proving that it can also harness its own mobile world which global consumers would appreciate. Earlier this year, Samsung trumpeted the big numbers for its Galaxy S series handsets - more than 100 million in total sales. The record speaks volume of course but Samsung is aware that consumers remain wary of the built of its phone lines. They are eye-candy but fragile and with competitors ramping up efforts to provide more durable handsets, Samsung would be left behind should it decide to stick with it present gadget material - mostly plastic.

Loyal as they are, Samsung fans would applaud a major revision in the Galaxy S4, in which the phone will replicate the metal unibody frame seen in iPhone 5 and HTC One. It'll be a major coup for the Asian tech titan if consumers will get to see a fully revamped S4 phone body on March 14. This time assured of sturdiness and readiness to absorb all sorts of abuse and neglect.

More interesting apps

The Droid Guy noted that one interesting application that came out with the Galaxy S3 package is the S Health, which allows users to "monitor blood pressure, BMI, weight, blood sugar and other health-related metrics."

There are indications that great amount of Samsung energy is focused on providing more of this non-explosive but premium services, which every future Galaxy S4 owners would gladly embrace. This move, of course, represents an extension of Samsung's underway project to boost the viability of its expanding ecosystem.

The best Galaxy S phone to date

It is in Samsung's interest to upstage the S3 and the S4's rivals outside of the Galaxy smartphone lines. As Mashable noted, Samsung's gambit has paid off after a tentative start. Undeniably, its products now command global anticipation and to sustain such interest and following, the company should not hold back and continue to inspire jaw-drop responses in every new phone introduction.

And an awesome Galaxy S4 is the key to that which should represent the best Samsung effort so far. Its power and features should withstand the upcoming gadget onslaught for the rest of the year, specifically the juggernaut coming from Apple on the second half of 2013.

The tech giant is unleashing the iPhone 5S, the iPhone Mini and the iPhone 6 later this year, as rumours suggest, but a solid Galaxy S4 will measure up to the challenge. But that is a prospect that remains to be seen.
