Can you imagine a wife carrying her husband wherever they may go? This is what Kelly Cottle's picture with her own hubby, Jesse, in a photo that went viral in an instant all over the web.

It all started when its photographer Sarah Ledford from ShutterHappy Photography posted the picture of Kelly and Jesse Cottle in their official Facebook page. In an instant, it went viral like wildfire as netizens fell in love all over again with the great sense of love and sacrifice depicted by the couple's picture.

How Jesse Cottle Lost His Legs

It was in 2009 when Mr Cottle accidentally stepped on an explosive device during his Afghanistan assignment. This made him lose his two legs. After months of recovery, he met his soon to be wife then, Kelly, who witnessed his very first attempt on the use of his prosthetic legs.

Enduring Love For Each Other

According to their interview with ABC News, Kelly shared that it is Jesse's personality that matters more than the injuries he got. On the other hand, Jesse even sees the accident he went through as a blessing in disguise, for he believes that if he did not step on the explosive, then he might not have met his wife.

The couple said that their photo which went viral was not actually planned. The photographer just suggested they take some shots of them together by the waters. By Tuesday, their sweet photo achieved 8,000 Facebook likes along with a thousand shares. Comments filled with admiration and extreme affection just kept on coming.

Their photographer, Sarah Ledford shared to ABC, too that Mr Cottle is not just considered a hero for serving his country truly but also a hero for knowing how to handle his situation and continue on with life with a positive spirit.

On the other hand, Mr Cottle himself added that the photo with his wife symbolized their relationship as a whole. He expressed his gratitude for having his wife to carry him at all times, not just physically, but also emotionally.
