Wikileaks have exposed the vanities and the bizarre world of Libyan leader, Col. Muammar Gaddafi in the documents that have now reached the world wide web. Written by British diplomats, the said documents were released by Wikileaks to The Daily Telegraph, which also highlighted the unusual ways Britain has been undertaking to strengthen its relationship with Libya.

The documents describe Col. Gaddafi as ‘extremely vain’ in the glory days of his regime. He was recorded to employ two personal tailors to design his clothes and to have undergone Botox treatment on his face.

When traveling abroad, the documents said that diplomats worry about the best ways to accommodate Col. Gaddafi and provide for all his needs. Records show that the Libyan leader prefers staying in a Bedouin tent on state visits to upper floors of buildings and hotels. Spanish governent officials had to arrange flamenco dancers for Gaddafi when visiting Spain.

The Colonel would apparently refuse to go anywhere outside Libya without his Ukranian nurse, described by The Telegraph as ‘voluptuous blonde’.

In addition to endowing Gadaffi with his bizarre needs, the European country, according to Britain’s most senior official is zealously providing Libya ‘whatever it can absorb’ in order to win Gaddafi’s heart and the Byzantine structure of his regime.

Sir Vincent Fean, who was Britain’s ambassador until May last year said that Britain offered trainings and more activities ‘on their [Libya’s] terms.

These terms include training of Libyan judges in the UK and sending of British prison officers to Libya to advise their counterparts on related matters.Britain has also been documented helping Libya in many of its political concerns all in the hopes that in the end, it can win valuable deals in oil and trade and other commercial and security agreements.
