AFL star Ben Cousins is reportedly being eyed by Seven Network to host the Australian version of the Amazing Race. The Sunday Telegraph quoted a source confirming that the network is considering the sports star for the hosting role.

Cousins is a "reformed drug addict" and is featured in a controversial documentary 'Such is Life: The Troubled Times of Ben Cousins' where the footballer appeared topless and under the influence of an unidentified substance. The documentary aired in Chanel Seven and was reported to be "extremely well received" in the in-house screening.

A source said that Ben Cousins could do the hosting role for the Amazing Race. "There's a definite belief he could do it. Sure. He was outstanding last week, and plus he brings women onboard. He has this real James Dean feel to him."

Seven Network stars Daniel MacPherson, Tom Williams and Luke Jacobz are also reportedly being considered for the Amazing Race hosting role with MacPherson, according to the Daily Telegraph, on top of the list.

Ben Cousins has not yet sign with the network. Rumor has it that Phil Keoghan, who has hosted the Amazing Race in the US, will have a participation on the Australian verson. His profile is used in the local campaign for the show.
