Former Menudo star Ricky Martin hinted that he wants to wed his long-time partner Carlos Gonzalez in Spain. Martin got his Spanish citizenship in 2011, but at that time he said he had no specific location yet for his planned wedding, but it would be in Europe.
However, in his latest interview with EFE, the 41-year-old singer is more definite, saying, "If I were going to marry, I'd love to do it in Spain - there are some spectacular settings for having a great formal wedding."

If the wedding will push through for Martin, who came out in 2010, there would be no legal problems because Spain recognises same-sex marriage. In 2010, when he confirmed the long-running rumours that he has a different gender preference, Ricky told host Larry King that he would consider Puerto Rico a good place to hold his wedding, it the country would legalise gay marriages.
Martin is known for being outspoken about the Puerto Rican government's limited view of LGBT rights. He released a statement in May, asking the government to pass laws that would end workplace discrimination based on an employee's sexual orientation.
Gonzalez is Puerto Rican.
