When a well-loved classic is rebooted by Hollywood, whether for the silver screen or for TV, fans of the old series usually cringe in disgust. However, with the darker, more edgy trailer of the totally remade "Total Recall," things might turn out to be splendid for the upcoming summer flick.

The reboot stars Colin Farrell as Doug Quaid, a factory worker who tries to escape his mundane life by taking a mind-trip. This causes his head to think that he is a super spy, and mixes with his real life, thus he finds himself running from the police.

Colin Farrell is an Irish Hollywood actor who is best known for his roles in "Phone Booth", "Daredevil", and "SWAT". Farrell's latest movie is another reboot of an 80's horror classic, "Fright Night."

The original Sci-fi movie first premiered more than two decades ago, and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leading man. Critics believe that this 1990 Sci-fi thriller was one of his best movies, so many are skeptical about the reboot.

Lori, originally played by Sharon Stone, is now played by an un-aging Kate Beckinsale, who has had her fair share of action-packed thrillers over the years.

Although major changes in the script might cause fans of the original to cause a riot, it is good to know that some iconic scenes from the original movie will not be removed. although the main setting of the plot will not be in Mars anymore, the three-breasted prostitute will still have its screen time.

"While fans of the original will remember the infamous 'three-breasted woman' character, her appearance may come as a surprise to younger audiences," reports Daily Mail about how the younger audiences might react after seeing the prostitute.

At the helm is Len Wiseman, who has previously lent a hand in writing majority of the Underworld saga. However, this is not his first time directing an action movie, with "Underworld", "Underworld: Evolution" and "Live Free or Die Hard" already under his belt.

Whether this remake will be a hit or not, fans of both the original as well as curious souls will flock to the theatres once this comes out late during the summer. Watch the trailer below.
