'Winds of Winter' Sansa chapters: 'Creepy' lessons by Littlefinger [Review]
George R.R. Martin hasn’t announced a release date for “Winds of Winter,” but he has released several chapters online to keep the fans engaged. Reviewing Sansa’s chapters from the upcoming book, some of the fans are concerned about how “creepy” Littlefinger is getting with his “lessons.”
[Spoiler alert]
Sansa Stark is currently at the Vale, posing as Littlefinger’s bastard daughter Alayne Stone. She had to do this because Cersei Lannister is looking for her in connection with the murder of King Joffrey.
Life for Sansa in her new home has not been easy. However, she has been given the opportunity to grow as a person and expand her horizons. The realpolitik lessons that Littlefinger has been giving her are bearing fruit, and she is now able to see things more clearly.
While some fans are happy to see Sansa finally emerge as a possible player in Westeros and not remain the naïve little girl who was taken advantage of, others are concerned about her “Winds of Winter” chapters. In a Reddit post, one of the fans pointed out how “creepy” Littlefinger’s lessons have been and the direction the storyline is taking.
The fan found Littlefinger’s lessons in the Sansa chapters “disturbing.” Another fan pointed out that the possible reason why the relationship between the two characters feels “weird” is that Petyr Baelish can’t decide whether he see the Stark girl as a daughter he never had, a pawn to be used in the great political game or if he sees Catelyn in her.
One of the fans explained that Petyr may see Sansa as all three points mentioned above. In the end it will be his love for her that may lead to his downfall, according to some fans. The two characters have already shared a kiss, which some found to be disgusting. Now, there is a big possibility of a sex scene of the two characters in “Winds of Winter.”
