Perfectly fit to be a superhero; Australian actor, Hugh Jackman, hit the gym in Bondi to start his proven workout to get in shape for the filming of the upcoming sequel of his hit movie "Wolverine."

The actor flew to Sydney last Saturday with his family and immediately returned to the gym. Hugh Jackman arranged a pre-dawn session at Bondi Beach Fitness and Health, and followed it up with a brisk winter cardio session in the surf.

Hugh Jackman's personal trainer of 20 years, Mike Ryan, is with the actor to train him.

"He just keeps getting better and better over the years. We've got a bet to see if we can both get to 50 and still have a six-pack," the trainer complemented the actor.

Research found out that people who do workouts of far less intensity when they train in the afternoons compared to those who do train in the morning.

Hugh Jackman's new film will start its production at Fox Studios next week and Hollywood hot property Jessica Biel is expected to fly to Sydney in the next few days to join Hugh Jackman and to rest of the production crew to commence the filming of the sequel.

Jessica Biel will play the role of Viper in "Wolverine 2." In the comics, Viper is a villain and a love interest of Wolverine. Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Logan and his alter ego as the adamantium mutant Wolverine.

This time, he will fall in love with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is promised to another man. The forbidden romance puts Wolverine at war with her father and the dangerous Silver Samurai, a mutant skilled in the art of sword fighting and able to cut through anything.

"Black Swan" director Darren Aronofsky was attached with the film. However, he turned down the project and was replaced with James Mangold. The film's release is set next year.

Most recently Jackman played Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's big-screen adaptation of Les Misérables.
