The shooting of “Wolverine 3” will reportedly start next year. The director of “The Wolverine” James Mangold replied to a tweet by Rob Anthony Yeadon and said that he will start shooting the film in the starting of 2016. “Wolverine 3” is scheduled to be released in 2017.

David James Kelly is writing the plot of the film, however, not much is known about the storyline. James hinted in one his previous interviews that it could be about Wolverine’s “relationship with other characters.” “We are very much trying to work with existing text. There are other great Wolverine stories out there but suffice it to say there are great texts about his connections to others, villains, characters from the lore and from the comics that we can bring out and have another great and meaningful adventure,” he added in his interview to Speakeasy about how the legacy of Wolverine can be continued.

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman might return to play the titular role. Though the actor is yet to confirm his involvement. He said in his recent interview to Yahoo UK that he would like to play Wolverine till he dies. He is reportedly inspired after watching “Birdman” and thinks that his character Wolverine could turn into something iconic.

Moreover, Sir Patrick Stewart is also rumoured to play Charles Xavier/ Professor X in the “Wolverine 3.” According to his interview to Oregon live he will team-up Hugh in the film. Hugh is currently busy promoting his film “Chappie.” In the sci-fi film he plays Vincent Moore. He is a robot designer and an ex-soldier who creates robot called Moose. Moose is aggressive than the main robot Chappie in the film. The film has been directed by Neill Blomkamp and tell the story of Chappie who must fight the evil forces which are planning to take him down.

It is based on Neil’s 2004 short film “Tetra Vaal” and is scheduled to be released on March 6, 2015. The film had its New York City premiere on March 4. It has missed reviews. Rotten Tomatoes has given it 33% rating.
