Samsung was rumoured to preview the Galaxy Note 3 via the 2013 MWC in Barcelona but all the talks proved untrue. The Asian tech giant only allowed a glimpse of the Galaxy Note 8.0.

What's causing the delay? Talks were ripe that the pushback is somehow intended.

Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S4 on March 14 and while the world is already attuned the company would not want to steal the thunder off its upcoming flagship, analysts said. All eyes and ears are focused on the S4 spectacle in New York next week and Samsung intends to keep that atmosphere.

Then it will gear up for the next phablet juggernaut, which should be mighty enough to keep its lead in light of rising competition. Samsung is taking note of the good raves that the Optimus G Pro of LG has been getting lately plus Apple appears bent on entering the phablet fray via the 4.8-inch iPhone 6.

The Note 3 needs better recipes to keep the edge established by the original Note and the Note 2.

And trying to further better the best features seen in the Note 2 is keeping Samsung from releasing the Note 3 early, according to TheBlogIsMine.com.

The 8-core Exynos Octa 5 may not make it to the Galaxy S3 but Samsung is moving heaven and earth for the CPU to de deployed with the new phablet. Work, reportedly, is underway for the chip to be part of the Note 3 debut that likely will come on Q3 2013.

It was also suggested that the Note 3 is getting a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen but Samsung is unpacking it with better attributes - crisp and clear rendering on a screen that is also flexible and unbreakable, the same report said.

Again, this feature was once attached with the S4 but it fizzled out. Now there is a chance the durable screen will make its way to the new Samsung phablet.

The Note 3 is said to sport a 16MP main cam shooter and to make sure that this will be the best snapper on its class, Samsung is including in the mix auto focus, LED flash, BSI and a 3MP front camera.

Finally, and to live up to its premium reputation, the Galaxy Note 3 is packed with wireless charging capability but the feature will not be ready until a few months from now, likely causing much of the Note 3 release delay.

By the time the handset hits the market, Google should have issued the Key Lime Pie so it is possible that the Note 3 will be one of the few gadgets to get an early taste of the new Android flavour, which should make the delay worth the wait.
