When the United States of America and Mexico FIFA World Cup qualifier kicks off on Tuesday night, it might just not be the biggest soccer game in USA’s home soil but also could end up as the match with the most expensive ticket prices for a soccer game in the U.S.
The game is scheduled to start at 8:06 pm ET to be held at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

As per reports by usatoday.com and seatgeek.com, the average price of the tickets is going for $294 hours before game time.
Other soccer games in the United States with off-the-off ticket prices were Argentina vs. Brazil (2012) with average price of $153; AC Milan vs. Real Madrdid (2012) for $161; Manchester United vs. Barcelona (2011) for $194; Chelsea vs. Manchester City (2013) for $203.
A total of 31 national teams plus host Brazil will play in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Aside from the home country, other teams that have qualified so far are Australia, Japan, Iran, South Korea, Netherlands and Italy.
Three teams from the CONCACAF region will automatically qualify for the World Cup while the 4th place will play New Zealand, Oceania’s winner.
Here’s the breakdown from each region/confederation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup: Europe (UEFA) has 13 slots; Africa (CAF) has 5; South America (CONMEBOL) has 5 or 6; Asia (AFC) has 4 or 5, Oceania has 0 or 1, North and Central America + Caribbean (CONCACAF) has 3 or 4.
