World's Biggest Coin From Australia Will Tour Europe

The biggest and heaviest coin in the world that has a value of a million dollars based on legal tender is from Australia.
Yahoo News reported the most valuable gold coin is crafted by Perth Mint. It is the world's record holder of the Guinness Book of World Records with this piece measured at one ton of 99.99% pure gold. It makes its worth even more than $50 million. It is set to pay Europe a visit.
The world's biggest coin measures 80 centimeters in diameter and about 12 centimeters deep. Its design was made by Stuart Devlin who is also the goldsmith and jeweler of the Queen. The coin's design shows a red kangaroo with rays of sunlight around it. On its other side, the Queen's motif is shown.
According to The Australian, it is set to travel parts of Europe like Berlin, Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich and Vienna. The European tour will be in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Australian Kangaroo Gold Coin program. This part of the world was selected being on top of the investment marker of Perth Mint.
The company has also come up with a 2014 limited edition of Australian kangaroo gold bullion tribute coin weighing at 1 ounce. The pure gold coin came about with the efforts of a team composed of about 12 people. They have worked since the latter parts of 2010.
"The largest coin in the world up to now has been 100 kilograms, made by a competitor mint, and we thought well, we'd better make it so much bigger that it'll stay the biggest coin in the world for a long time," Mint's Chief Executive Ed Harbuz said to ABC News.
The entire goal was to make it the best and largest coin in the entire globe. It was admitted by the chief executive that to make a big coin was a tough challenge that has been won over.
